What happens if an IDgo SMS is forwarded to someone other than an enrolled IDgo account holder?
Since the device the SMS was forwarded to would not possess the security credential established during enrollment, an authentication could not be completed.
Question: What happens if an IDgo SMS is forwarded to someone other than an enrolled IDgo account holder?
Answer: The SMS that contains an authentication link is not the security factor. During enrollment, IDgo creates a security credential on the member's device. Subsequent authentications can only be approved from that enrolled device using that credential.
Authentication links are also single-use and expire after a short period of time.
If someone were to obtain or forward an authentication link to a different device, that device would not possess the security credential established during enrollment, so the authentication could not be completed.
